Missing 960 Tranny Dipstick? 900

Hi All

I was checking the fluid levels on my 960 this evening are we are heading on a road trip this weekend.

I could not find the Tranny fluid dipstick.
I looked in the owners manual and it was not mentioned either.

I have heard of some cars having sealed units and no dipstick so I was thinking this may be the case....then I got out my flashlight and behind the engine I found what looks to be where the tranny dipstick should be...

Am I correct?
It certainly looks like it and has the clip to hold it in place...


It has some dirt sitting in the top like its been missing for a while.
I would assume this would be bad no? resulting in fluid spurting out the top?

I have only had the car a month and already been back to the dealer twice with problems they missed.....

Any advice appreciated.
