AC high idle 200 1985

Cleaning up the last details on an 85 sedan I bought some months ago. Nice car. The only niggling detail left is the AC causing high idle. I have changed out the relay. Problem is intermittent. Every once in awhile I find that the fan is running on low and the idle is up even when the temp dial is turned firmly to off (ac temp). Could this be a bad AC temp switch?
