I've been going over the A/C in my 93 245 for an upcoming vacation and I noticed the aux fan for the condensor runs whenever the A/C is activated (even on a cold start-up) and never shuts off. I suspected the high pressure switch (inline, just under the alternator)was bad but when I pulled off the wire connector to it, the fan kept on running. I thought this high pressure switch was supposed to control the fan, as I've seen posts by folks that remove the connector to it and jumper across the terminals to keep it running all the time the A/C is on, but I'm wondering if a change was made to the wiring in 1993. I have the A/C green book, and it IDs this switch, but doesn't discuss it at all. Also, I've looked at the wiring diagram in the Bentley manual for 1993. I can see the low pressure switch on the accumulator, the compressor, the A/C relay, but can't ID the this high pressure switch. Any ideas? Thanks.
