Okay, I just bought the most unusual 244 I've ever seen (been a Volvo owner off and on since about '81, so I've seen many). The badge on the back says "Limited" next to the "240" badge, and this is the most (factory) customized "brick" I've ever seen. Besides having the same alloys and body trim as my '91 SE 245, this sedan has the teak dash trim like the '93 classic, some extra reflection panel in the rear, chrome wheel-well trim (like WIDE, trim) and a spoiler (yes, it's a SPOILER). I've MOST curious about the brass plaque on the dash, that looks like a signature. Any historical info would be greatly appreciated. Other than maintenance records, current to the MILE, the 2nd owner (whom I bought it from) said it was customized in Sweden and shipped to CA (USA) for the original owner, who had the emissions modified to California standards, and (obviously) babied it during its early years. I've posted pictures in the Gallery; find "244 1991 "Limited"" for a few shots; I haven't even had time to wash it, but it's a real "BABE". Thanks.
