Hello, I have a 85 740 non turbo and in the past the car would stall or die every once in a while. I replaced the fuel pump relay a few months ago. But, it still kept doing it. sometimes you could slam the door and it would start up and run fine again. Last week it stalled out, died and will not crank up now. I took the fuel line loose from the fuel rail and turned it over and no fuel. So I assumed the fuel pump was bad. So, today I replaced the fuel pump and it still will not crank. I checked to see if I had fuel coming out of the fuel rail again and i didn't. So, I checked the positive terminal on the fuel pump and it is not geeting power. So, I checked the relay again and it seems to be working fine. I hooked and switched 12 volts to the pump when I turned the car over and the pump is working but, the car still didn't crank! I am not sure what to check yet except to pull a plug and turn it over to see if i have spark!
Iam not sure what to check now and suggestions will be greatly apreciated!
