EGR Valve? What EGR Valve? 900 1993

So I decided to clean my EGR valve as recommended in my manual on my '93 940. I removed the air apparatus and the throttle body (cleaning both of them) in order to gain access to the EGR valve. However, when I looked for the valve as illustrated very nicely in the 700/900 FAQ file, I couldn't find it anywhere. I found the idle air induction valve but no EGR or anything like it or anything with a hose going around to the exhaust manifold. Is it possible that my particular model year or system (Regina) does not have this valve? Or, can anyone give me further aid on finding it. Thanks.
