What's the chance its a relay problem 900

Sorry to ask for mere conjecture on a technical forum, but I saw an ad for a '92 940 N/A nearby for $500 -- owner says the fuel pump died on him recently at 194K. I have seen the fuel pump relays go on 700's at around this mileage, and am thinking it's possible that's the case here. Just curious on the expected service life of the fuel pump and relay respectively.
