To anyone who knows,
I had this idea in my head, a few months ago, that if I wanted the most reliable old car, it was a volvo.
So I found one abandoned in someone's back yard, a 1980 244, automatic (350K).
We haggled for a bit and I payed 175$ for it.
I fixed almost everything, stripped away anything not basic. It runs fine.
Now I need to make a decision: since my currect car is a 1980 volkswagen jetta, which runs good, but I cannot register both (registration is Israel is coastly, and old cars need to be tested twice a year).
Is this volovo a real wild animal as they say (vilde chaye)? Is it worth to invest in this machine (I drive considerable distances every week)?
Please some connaiseur, reply,
Gadi
