Using expensive AC Stop Leak - Does it close most leaks? 900 1993

I have a 940 Turbo Wagon that my mechanic says has a small leak in the system under the dask, so it is too expensive to repair. This is the 3rd summer we have spent about $100 to have the system recharged. By the next summer it has lost 75% of the refrigerant. The mechanic mentioned and expensive stop leak ($65) that he could put in. He cautioned me that it might or might not work.

Any one out there have experience with trying this in a Volvo AC system? Any recommendations for a specific product? We are OK for the next two months but I would like to NOT have to do this every year and the car is running very well otherwise and approaching 200K miles.
