Collateral Damage from Hole in Turbo Hose 700 1989

My 89 740 Turbo Wagon, suddenly dropped from running great at 70mph to choking on the side of the highway going 15-20. I pulled over and didn't see anything obviously wrong. I limped it along the side of the road for another 10 miles to town. There was no power, it sounded like it was choking for air, and I heard some load craking sounds a few times. When I got it to town and took a closer look, I found a large tear in the 3" dia. air hose leading into the intake manifold. I duck taped it and put a clamp over the hole for a temp fix. Now...it just won't start. The engine turns over, it catches, but then immediately sputters and dies. Might I have done some damage to anything else by driving it this way for 10 miles? Any thoughts?... Thanks.
