Hi everyone,
I have read the facts as well as other sources online. First, I have not checked whether or not I need to recharge the AC, but even without checking that, wouldn't the compressor at least cycle on every now and then? The compressor never cycles on.. or off for that matter (as its never on) and the air blowing into the cabin is never cooler than the outside air.
I thought that sounded like the common MCC solder joint problem, so I've gotten the MCC out of my '93 945.
I am having a little trouble resoldering the joints in question though. What 'wattage' soldering iron is recommended? I am trying to use a small 15 watt one, but it isn't melting the larger joints at all and is having a hard time even melting the small ones.
Does my problem even sound like it could be the MCC or could it be that it just needs to be recharged?
Thanks,
Brandon
