I bought this 960 last winter - I didn't think the AC was working at the time - now I know it's not!

Here's the story so far:

AC fuse is intact and OK
No flashing AC Off button - no error codes found
Clutch spins, but never engages the compressor
Pulled out the ACC control box (with the knobs on) to check for dry joints etc. None found - strangely the board in my box did not look anything like the pics in the FAQ, and there were no relays. Was I looking at the right board?
(Note: AC Off button is out during testing - light is off, which is the correct position I believe, although I have tried in the light on position also.)


Questions:

How can I directly operate the clutch to check if the compressor works? Beyond that, what is the best troubleshooting sequence to follow?
Where are the components located that I might be checking - sensors etc.
