This really isn't a volvo related question exactly. Fortunately, despite the flooding in Upstate New York, my beloved VolVolina is high and dry. My question is about a small gasoline engine I have that was under flood waters. How or what should I do to see if I can get it started again? My plan was to remove the oil and gas, remove and replace the plug and air filter and see if I could dry the cylinder with a blowdryer. Then fll 'er up and give it a try. Should I try and dismantle the engine to dry it out? Here's the joke, the egine is a small water transfer pump. The kind used to pump out basements. I had it on the lawn pumping water from the creek to water the lawn. And of course when the creek went up, it submerged the pump. Is it salvageable? Thanks for any advice. Praise Jesus the house is bone dry! Some lost lives in this great flood of '06.
