Hello fellow bricksters!
I am planning engine transplant next week.
I've decided to use that '84 B23E engine sleeping in my garage to power my '79 244Gl. Now I have two (main) options... Either I leave the original configuration (B23E block + B23E head) or use B23E block with B230ET (turbo) head. The thing is that I intend to keep the carb (ZS 175SE) fuel injection because I use LPG... So my main concern is how will the setup compression ratio affect the driveability... I presume the B23E head has got smaller combustion chamber therefore higher CR. If I use complete B23E setup, will the engine just have less power (original fuel injection is K-jet and I'll use carb) or are there any other things to consider (pinging). Or is it better to go the second way, to use B23E block and B230ET head (CR 7,5:1 or sth).
Which configuration should have more power taking into account that carburettor is going to be used and the car will use LPG instead of gasoline (I use it extremely rare, for no more than 10 km at the time)...
ANY opinion would be a great help!
