Water in the taillights 200 1993

Hello,

I have drilled holes in the bottom corners of both left and right lenses, stop and tail light, bottom outermost corners of a 1993 'Classic' sedan. I believe the archives say to do the same, based on a search a couple of years ago. This hasn't solved the problem completely - I still replace the bulbs about once or twice a year instead of 3 or 4 times a year. This last rainstorm in the Philadelphia area (my mom was driving it) both bulbs went out simultaneously in a driving downpour. **THAT'S** never happened before, usually it's the right(passenger side) one that goes out more frequently, so I have the 3rd brake and the left one to rely on, usually. Thank God for the 3rd brake light...

Now I'm checking out prices for new tail light units. Before I spend upwards of $700 on replacements, will that reliably solve the problem?

In a different vein, anyone know offhand where to buy Sylvania #1157 bulbs in bulk? :-)
