1993 245, M47: I get some driveline vibration when starting from a dead stop, especially in reverse backing uphill out of my driveway. Driver's motor mount is six months old (Volvo part). Passenger's motor mount is six months old (IPD part). The Volvo mounts seems more solid than the IPD. The IPD mount sagged from the beginning, whereas the Volvo one on the left sits real firm. The transmission mount is probably original (158k). The old motor mounts looked bad, but I wasn't having any vibrations at the time.
The vibrations started about a month ago. I then replaced the driveline support bushing and bearing. The rubber bushing is from Volvo. The bearing is from a local bearing supply store. This new bushing and bearing eliminated most of the problem in first, but the problem is still there in reverse.
Any suggestions as to the next step? I'm thinking maybe I should replace the transmission mount because it's so much older and probably softer than the two motor mounts. It doesn't visibly sag, but it is not too hard to push the transmission around when lying under the car.
