The other day the dashboard lights went out (including the centre console lighting).
My car has the daytime running lights (Canadian model), so all of the lights (headlamps, parking lights, etc.) come on with the ignition.
I checked the fuses, but none were blown.
Coincidentally, once or twice the turn indicator blinked at a rapid rate -- I know that this is normally indicative of burnt out buld in one of the blinkers, but I checked both sides, front and back, and everything was ok. Now it is back to blinking "normally".
Also, when the car is off and I go to turn on the headlights, they do not come on at all (but the parking lights do).
Since there were no blown fuses, I am guessing there must be a short somewhere to the dashboard. Has anyone seen this before, or could you point me in the right direction before I go to the shop?
Cheers.
