Just got a reply regarding an inquiry I made on a 1985 245 Turbo.
Here's a snippet:
"Interior in good condition seats are not torn but leather is faded some what.Exterior is in good shape, minor dings. paint is good for it's age. Color is Medium Blue. 143000 Low mileage for the year car. Engine is in great condition. All new valve springs, retainers and Valve seals. New head gasket, exhaust gasket. I bent a valve last July and repaired it, so I went through the top end. I installed a new Oil pump (and pan gasket) because I did not like the oil pressure. 240's are know for the electrical wire harnesses going bad, so i replaced that last July. Trans works great and so does the O/D. Everything works, except the A/C. I replaced the compressor (Also last July) and the car will be going to BVA in Santa Monica for R134a conversion. A/C will be working after tomorrow. The is a small power steering leak.
I don't know what you plans are for this car, but if you are going to purchase for a son or daughter I do not recommend. This car is to easy to get silly in. It handles very well and can be pushed past the average 240 Volvo.
If it's your personnel ride, here is a bonus....I have a set of Cross drilled rotors and brake pads along with a complete set of Bilstein shocks and a complete Poly suspension bushings I'll through in if you purchase by 13 July for my asking price of $1500.00 The 14Th of July the car is headed out of state for sale else where."
From the pictures in the ad, the paint looks clean. It's a beauty. It has a lot of performance goodies added to it, according to the ad.

Runs Great. Has Hi-performance modifications and is still smog legal. I have Dyno sheet/report to should Hp output. Sport Springs with IPD Sway Bars. Manual Turbo Boost controller. IPD VX Cam with adjustabe cam gear. Strut support bar. I have other Hi-performance parts not yet installed. Cheap price for the amount of car. Has Pwr windows, door locks, manual 4 spd trans with Overdrive. Must see.
How much are 240 turbos going for? Blue book doesn't have '85 in in it. Deal? Yay or nay?
