Should I remove the condenser too? 200

Am considering removing the AC compressor on my '85 244 which hasn't worked for years and which I don't want to convert to the newest system (R134?). I want to avoid damage from a compressor that might eventually seize, make more room in the engine bay to access things, and get rid of unnecessary weight. I would attempt to drive the PS with a belt connected to the crank, alt, and h2o pump which would replace one of the short belts between those 3 now.
My questions are will this work and if so should I also remove the condenser to increase air flow to the rad and get rid of even more weight?
Thanks everyone.

PS. The older this car gets the more I appreciate it.
