Speedometer works sometimes/Brakes acting funny. 900 1993

My fuel gauge was only working intermittantly so after the shop took a look at it and told me the gauge itself was at fault I bought a replacement instrument panel and installed it today. Well so far the gas gauge is working ok although i'll see in the next few days if it goes off like it used to.

Anyway, before I replaced the cluster the speedometer/odometer started only working intermittantly a few weeks ago and jumps back up every once in a while. After reading the 900 faq here it looks like the problem is in the wiring. I didn't notice any problems on the dash connector wiring, but the responses on the faq mentioned checking the wiring near the sending unit. Is this a difficult endeavor? I don't have an easy way of getting beneath my car.

I've also recently encountered problems with my brakes. They seem to release or pump by themselves even with my foot on the pedal (It just feels like the pedal's releasing though, not the acual brakes). Also, the ABS light is constantly on since this occured. There are cases in the Faq that describe this as a problem with the ABS brakes. I'm going to try an clean the sensors and remove the ABS fuse but I'm not that familiar around my car and can't find the ABS fuse.

I also have problems with my AC not turning on at all but I'll save that for another post. I'm not so familiar with cars even though I love to take apart/build things so any details/explanation would greatly help and be appreciated.

thanks,
Greg
