Short Problem 900

1992 940 non-turbo 205000 miles.
I'm trying to track down a short that drains the battery over time. Hooked up test light to disconnected ground and to battery at battery. The test light is lit, and quickly goes out. I tried to pul 1 fuse at a time , but the light does not stay lit long enough to determine which circuit is involved. the light is on and dims out. Suggestions?
