Hello!

1986 240DL, significant exhaust in cabin.

I have replaced the mufler with a junkyard version, fixed some of the prob.

The car still has a rattle and I think something towards the front end is a problem. I am interested in getting the 1976 era full piece that bypasses the no longer required catylitic converter.

Also, there is a weird tube about 10 inches long and 2 - 3 inches in diameter that just comes off the exhaust manifold in the engine compartment and goes nowhere!

That would give off fumes right!???

Is that supposed to loop around to someplace?
