Relay Trouble 200 1989

About 4 seconds after turning off the ignition on my daughter's 240 wagon a white relay located below/behind the glove box starts buzzing and runs the battery almost flat. I pulled the cover off the relay and plugged it back in, started the car and things were fine. I shut the car off and, again, about 4 seconds later one side of the relay went nuts cycling. The relay number is 898151. Is the relay bad or do I have a more serious electrical problem lurking somewhere? Thanks, Bill.
