Hatch window plastic edge removal 200

Just bought new wires for the hatch in my 1991 245. Same old problem wires through hinges break after a while. However the wire from the heated window (defroster) seems to have disappeared. I think the connection tap is right in the middle of the left side of the window. Can i get to it if I remove the plastic edge around the inside of the rear window and how do I do this without destroying it or something else?

Hope this makes semse - any help appresiated
