Comparison of 960s' and 850s' chassis 900

I know this question is all relative, but I'm just curious- which chassis do you think is more rugged and can take more abuse, the 850's or the 940's/960's? Some people tell me that the 850 is more rugged than a 900-series, but others tell me quite the opposite. Just looking for some opinions, thanks!
