3 year brake fluid interval? 900

Just wondering what anyone's thoughts might be about changing the brake fluid after 3 years... as opposed to the recommended 2 year interval?

I drive about 6,000 miles a year... mostly in the city.

Is 3 years too long to let it go? Or should I put the fluid change on my 'to do ' list?

Thanks for any suggestions....
