Here's a weird one...
I've just read the AC section of the FAQ back and forth and they're referring to problems with the clutch not engaging when requested - my problem is the opposite, it seems.
When the AC is off, the AC compressor makes a squealing noise. The pulley seems to "stick" a few times every second instead of just turning freely. If I engage the AC system, it blows cold air and the squaling goes away. I do have a blinking light on the AC button, but I have not been able to get it to give me the error codes.
When the AC is off, the air that comes from the vents does seem a bit cooler than it should be considering the outside conditions. I have not tested it with a thermometer.
Should I just go and replace the compressor to be on the safe side or is there some kind of first aid I can try to administer?
