Unplanned AW70L transmission durability test initiated; should I be concerned? 700

Hi everyone:

This morning, my Wife used my '91 740 automatic (AW70L) and initiated an impromptu transmission durability test: A wasp flew in the window and went in her shirt sleeve; she then flipped out, tried to get rid of the wasp and managed to hit the shifter whilst flailing about and shifted the car into reverse at 65 MPH.

She said the rear wheels locked up resulting in lots of tire smoke, but she was able to stop the car without having an accident (thankfully.) She was able to drive the car home without a problem. I took it for a ride and everything seems fine...

Should I be expecting a transmission failure shortly down the road? When I was about two I did the same thing sitting in the front seat of Dad's '68 Plymouth Fury (car seat in the middle, kicked column-shifted TorqueFlite into reverse)and it did not fare so well. Dad said it drove home after that, but a couple of days later, the car wouldn't move and an overhaul was needed (probably tore up a sprag clutch or something.)

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Andrew S.
