Radio recommendation needed for bottom location 200 1993

Needing the current top radio location for extra gauges, the bottom tray will have to give way for a radio. As I'm about 100 miles from the nearest FM transmitter, I'll need as good a receiver as I can get to captured those weak signals, both AM and FM. What brand/model of radio/CD do you recommend as being best for the bottom location in my 1993 240?
