HI guys. My 24 year old daughter is moving to Abilene, Texas to study for missionary work and is giving back to me her '84 242 Turbo Intercooler. It runs great. Fast. I replaced the water-cooled turbo with an oil cooled only and it is solid with strong boost and power. Wow. High miles at over 280K. 4 speed with OD of course. Virgo wheels. Nice. Blue paint went through too many car washes before my daughter had it. My daughter wrecked it 3 years ago and I found an exact match and year and color,only in a wagon with a burned out engine. The guy gave the car and I took the front end off wagon and put it on the 242. Only a trained eye can tell by looking under the hood. My question is: Should I part this out, sell as is on eBay, or get it painted and fix it up then sell it? And how much can I expect to get for this car? I have my hands full with other Volvos to keep running. This car has been very dependable. Any guidance would be appreciated.
