need advice, looking into buying a 240 200 1985

Hi Guys,

I am a college student looking for a nice 240. I came across a 1985 240GL sedan that looks great, 97K miles, leather interior, auto trans and in overall great condition. From what I can tell no rust either. I just need a few peoples' honest opinion about how well this car will hold up over time (it is 21 years old) and what to look for. I have heard that the engine harnesses before 88 tend to crumble. What else should I look for in terms of wear? Is there anything that I should replace when I buy it, regardless of possible condition such as fuel filter, etc? I am new to Volvos so I apologize if I seems a bit slooooow, but I really have heard great things about 240s and want to make an informed, responsible purchase. Thanks in advance,

Nik
