CD player.- no sound 900

Wondering if anyones into this problem.

I've got the original volvo 6 disc player in the trunk. The radio shows the cd playing but don't get any sound. The connections to the cd player and at the back of the radio are in tight. Any suggestions as to what it might be? AM/FM/Cassette working fine.

Thanks for any feedback.
