so I'm still working on this car. I have done the following and here's the latest.
- Resoldered relays (white one in fuebox and black radio suppression)
- Checked all fuses
- verified that there is NO fuel being deliverd to the fuel injection system when the car won't start
- verified that the car will run with the in-tank fuel pump shut off, and that the in-tank pump is getting 12V and working
So bottom line it looks like my main fuel pump is either dying or not getting power when the car is hot. When I say hot, it's a black car and just sitting out in the sun all day is hot enough to make it not start. If I start it early in the morning, it starts and runs fine. It will stall from time to time and re-starting it is questionable.
It either works or does not. There is no sputtering or 1/2 running type condition. when it stalls it just quits. when it runs, it runs like there is nothing wrong.
Any ideas?
