Non Volvo Coolant 900 1993

Hello folks,

Got a 1993 940 Turbo wagon w/ 210k miles on her and am tired of paying for the volvo coolant every 30k when I flush the engine. Anyone have any recommendations for off the shelf coolant for this engine.

Also what is the most frequent cause of door locks intermittantly not working from inside and outside the car ?
