The compressor on my 1992 240 stopped working. What should I check to see what the problem might be? I see a wire running to the compressor- should this wire have 12V on it when I turn everything on? Can I jumper 12V to this wire from the battery terminal to see if the compressor will turn on? If the system is discharged I assume that this will also keep the compressor from turning on. Is there a way to tell if it is discharged?
