Of course not!
Somehow, several months ago, I left off the 5th lugnut from my passenger front wheel. (This is not what's causing my front-end vibration, it's been there for years).
Now, I know why (besides me pulling the tire late at night). The stud and the nut I have are both damaged - I suspect by the guys at America's Tire Co. They use air-wrenches to torque their lugs and I'm going by today after my last day at this job to have my tires rotated and complain about it. I suspect someone set the nut in the air wrench and tried to start it - thereby crossthreading it.
The nuts and studs were fine when I had my wheels off for my brake job last spring and I bought my tires at the end of summer.
The point:
I'm replacing my rotors, how do I get the stud out if I can't thread a nut onto it??
How likely am I to need a shop and could I probably get America's Tire to pay for it?
