M46 Laycock overdrive unit blowing fuses 200 1982

Last week my son's 82 turbo blew an overdrive fuse. We replaced it and all was well until last night when it blew another fuse. He replaced it and shortly thereafter (did get a little road time in) it blew again.

I am going to go get the car this afternoon. I am thinking I have a wire under the car that perhaps as rubbed and is shorting out. That would be easy enough to remedy.

However, if I find that the wiring is not shorting under the car what are some other things that I might look into? Thanks for any ideas.

Randy
