745 turboupgrades 700

Hey all. I have a 1992 745 turbo and I am doing some upgrades and wanted to get some opinions. Seeing as how everyone has an opinion, I hope to get some ideas. Here goes....

I have already removed the stock cam and installed an IPD turbo performance cam and adjustable gear. When I did this I found out the engine now becomes a zero clearance set up so if the t-belt snaps there go my valves with it. Any comments there? Am I correct on that issue?

Next I adjusted the waste gate on the turbo so it is now pusing about 12 psi instead of the stock 8 psi(I think that is correct?) Any thoughts on this?

I am looking for a sport exhaust that runs from the manifold back. So far I have only found cat back systems. Any one know of a good down pipe and cat back combo unit?

I am also looking to see if I can get more low end torque out of this thing. I would like to see the initial acceleration from a dead stop improve. The turbo change definetly gets me more boost but I still think it takes too long to spool up. Any way to get it into the boost range quicker?

One final thing...With the 2 upgrades so far the engine now surges a little when sitting at an idle. It is not relly noticeable in the car unless you are watching the boost and rpm gauges but when you are outside you can hear it clearly. The surges are not huge but they rev about 100-200 rpms up and down. Any suggestions on how to eliminatge that? We already disconnected the battery and allowed the computer to re-map itself but it did not help. I am also finding that the car will stall out periodically on a cold start the first time you crank it up. Hmmm......

Thanks for your thoughts. I look forward to reading them.

-Gabe
