I have a '89 240 w/ AW70 auto tranny that has recently developed a leak. There is a small puddle under the car after driving, and yesterday when driving at high speeds for about 1 hour there was an oily film on the rear window (it's a wagon). I tightened the sump bolts on the tranny but still leaking. Doesn't look like it's from cooler lines.
I was wondering where the more common leak spots are on AW70's? And are these trannys fairly robust?
