Old Gas/Tank Question 200 1986

All,

I pulled the fuel pickup from my yet to restore 240 the use in another car. The tanks has about 3 inches of old nasty gas in it. Should I get it out? Tank out? What about rust? Plan is to get this car running my end of year or over winter. Any observations/suggestions appreciated
