ON my 1989 240 dl I have an autimatic tranny. It shifts with no problem however the selector has started to worry me a bit. When I put the car in D some how I miss it and it goes into 2 I push up with out holding the buton into D ( the cover and selecoter dont exactly line up) and I don't feal the normal engement fealindit's kind of a light fealing with a light click and it's in D/od mode. When I go and put it in park I have to really push up on it cae it doenst quite want to engage but it wil if you push up it has the same fealing as the D situation. No other gear give me tha problem could it be a wron selectoer cabel? or what it's not realy a big deal but if some one is not paying attention they could mess the motor up by leaving it in 2 or smash into something in reverse. I am the ONLY one besides my grandad who is alowed to drive it due to this conditon and sometimes well you need a DD or something. Please HELP!
