front end squeak 200 1991

At very low speeds, when turning and going over small bumps, there are squeaks from the front end.
Could this be strut mount bearings?
I read a post concerning relubricating these bearings. Is that possible, and do you still need to tear the struts out?
What will happen if this is not repaired for a while?
