sudden loss of power, then stalls 200 1991

Car is literally 1000 miles away. Just drove it from Fla. to Md. and left it and daughter at college. She called tonight because twice tonight it suddenly lost all power-no response when pressing gas, and then stalled out.
After sitting a few minutes, it started back up and ran.
175K on odometer.
Any ideas?
Tomorrow, I will have her check codes.(She cleared codes last year when light came on but car ran fine)
What a PITA to have the car that far away!
