I bought my '94 B230FT with about 80K on it.

After the first year of operation, I decided to try a switch to synthetic oil. I tried to "ease in" by going first to a blend, then to full; in both cases, I developed a couple of leaks and also saw consumption increase.

After mentioning it to a trusted Volvo-only mechanic, he suggested switching back to full-Dino. He liked what he saw of Valvoline MaxLife 10W30. I'm on my second change of it, and I will say the leaking has stopped and consumption has moderated a bit.

I'm putting in a third change of it today, but I'd be curious--for future reference--if anyone else here has an opinion on this product.
