Hey Guys,

I appreciate all the help I have got from this board so far. I finally got my wagon running but it is not running very well. I have a parts yard nearby that has several similar cars as mine that I can pull off of but I dont know what I need. Last time I was there I took 2 - Nuetral Switches and 4 Fuel Relays just to keep for backup. I have 3 areas I need to fix on this thing then I will be comfortable handing the car over to my wife.

Anyway the car is getting horrible gas mileage. Somewhere around 7 miles to the gallon. There is alot of black smoke when you start it and you strongly smell gas/fuel when its idling in place. Wwhen idling it shakes slightly and basically runs rough.

My mechanic said to replace a spark plug looking thing coming off the muffler. Looks sorta like a spark plug and has wires coming off it.

Is this the Oxygen Sensor?
If not what is it and where is the OS?

Also my car is an automatic with overdrive. When I push the OD putton on the shifter absolutely nothing happens. The arrow light on the dash comes on but the car doesnt change how its running. When I go around 65-70mph the car seems like it is running high (by the sound) Any suggestions an how to fix this.

Lastly, I found a wire plug in that looks like it needs to be plugged in somehwere. It is just laying in the open near the distibutor cap but I see nowhere to plug it in. The end LOOKS like the larger plug in this photo exept it doesnt have the 2nd clip wire coming off it. http://fcpgroton.com/images/13957.jpg
The best I could trace this wire is to the rear of the engine below the exhaust manifold the is some brass looking fitting thing that it screw into. That photo is of a OS

What else would anyone suggest I get at the salvage yard for upcoming emergencies? Thanks and cheers to all.
