Starting problem 900

I have a 1992 960 that almost always refuses to start on first attempt. It will attempt to run while cranking but dies instantly when the key is released to the run position.If I turn the key off and try again it will almost always start right up. I am wondering if this could be the ignition switch or the radio suppression relays. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
