I have a 1993 Volvo 940, non-turbo, with ~103K miles. Over the past three or four months the engine has started to suddenly die about every 400 miles as if it ran out of gas. It always restarts after 1-3 minutes and runs great afterwards...until it dies again. This happens within 5-15 minutes of starting the engine. It's getting air and spark and I've cleaned the injectors and air filter. It runs freakishly well except for these brief neurotic interludes when it dies at anywhere from 20-60 mph. The Volvo dealer can't figure it out because their diagnostic computer won't tell them what the problem is. So...what do you think? Fuel pump? Throttle Body? It's sort of scary when it stops on freeway overpasses and busy streets. Where I live, there are no non-busy streets. I'll post on the bulletin board as well; I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks, Lewis in Houston/Dallas
