Source of Smoke 1800 1971

Thanks to all for helping find the oil leak that I posted earlier. I found that both the rear and fron engine plugs were loose so the oil leak is very minimu now, mainly in the front part of the right side (below intake manifold). I now have another issue and is with the car smoking when it takes off from standing idle. Remember that this engine was just rebuilt, new pistons/rings from IPD, head was cleaned up and resurfaced by machine shop., block was cut to .040 over etc. Car runs strong and has much more power than before. The only problem I have is that while I am stopped at a light waiting, on take off I can see the blue smoke coming from behind. I'm not sure If I have to wait a period of time for engine to break in or if the source of this smoke coulb be coming from maybe valve seals. I gave the new valve seals to the machine shop but never checked or even asked if they put them in. Could valve seals be a cause of smoking? Other than that, I have not noticed any smoking during normal or hard accelaration. I have driven the car less than 200 miles since the re-build. All you help and information is greatly appreciated.

thanks,
