PLEASE HELP, I have a 740 gl station wagon showing 156,000 on the clock she is 1990. I have her a year now and rain, hail, sleet or snow (and you get them all here in Ireland) she Never failed to start, however in March this year i had her serviced, a couple of weeks later the problems started. Firstly she was hard to start then on the very odd occassion she wouldnt start at all. Now she refuses despite prayer, money, new parts. On cold starts she wont fire at the coil, so i replaced the coil and she started right away, next day wouldnt start ??. I have checked the following: fuses,replaced coil,recharged battery,checked all connections for water,she is getting fuel etc. could anybody help ? Is it possible that the timing has slipped since service ?
When i get her running she runs very well and when hot starts perfectly time and again but next day no joy. Please help im out of money and patients and need the car as my Husband is disabled.
