Hi guys,
"Finished" straightening out the wiring on this car hoping that it would again start like it did 2 years ago before I realized what a mess the underdash wiring was. Now it will not start and I am wondering if an unidentified plug on the left side under the dash was supposed to hold a relay. This plug looks just like the plugs for the intermittent wiper relays down on the floor. They work fine. This plug has six holes just like those wiper relay plugs and it. The wires from it are red/yellow, solid blue, red, black, blue/red, gray. I was wondering if this held a fuel pump relay. This plug is sitting right near the hood release and can hang down a bit below the release. I cannot figure it out. Since the engine does not seem to be getting ANY ignition on my attempts to start it I was wondering if the fuel pump relay is what this plug is for. My confusion is that the '84 wagon K-Jet I use for parts has a pump relay plug similar to this. I do not remember what if anything was plugged into this. I was wondering if some '83 models like mine may have used the same relay set-up as the '84. Any help would be appreciated. All my work on this beast and I have a no-start. UUUUGGGGHHH. jg
